Adjoa A. Akowuah
Founder | Service Design Lead
With a diverse background in architecture and service design, Adjoa brings a wealth of experience across a variety of industries, including oil and gas, aviation, healthcare, finance, and civic projects. Born and raised in Ghana, and having lived and worked in the US and UAE, she offers a unique global perspective and a deep understanding of local contexts, which has shaped her approach to international projects.
Holding a master’s degree from the University of Virginia and a specialization in Design Thinking from MIT, Adjoa has worked with high-profile clients, including the US State Department, where she helped reimagine diplomatic presence in the Middle East through innovative embassy designs. Her experience spans designing luxury hotel experiences for Four Seasons and Mandarin Oriental, scaling small shops, and collaborating with local agri-tech startups. She has also worked on visitor experiences for museums and designed metaverse experiences for the World Economic Forum (WEF). Adjoa excels at creating impactful, user-centered solutions.
